Volunteer Coordinator Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a part-time Volunteer Coordinator position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building and managing volunteer programs, as well as working with diverse groups of people.

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a volunteer service that meets the needs of our organization's residential services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to attract, recruit, and onboard volunteers, ensuring a strong match between their skills and available opportunities.
  • Manage and mentor volunteers, providing guidance on online and in-person training, as well as coordinating social events.
  • Maintain accurate records in our volunteer database and adhere to established processes and guidelines for Volunteer Services.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing teams, including recruiting and managing people, preferably volunteers.
  • Strong leadership and guiding abilities, enabling effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for successful interactions with people at all levels.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, with accuracy in database management.
  • Desirable: experience in developing and delivering workplace training programs, a passion for working in health or aged care fields.
