The Local Project is a leading design publication that celebrates local design and its impact on everyday experiences. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Graphic Designer to lead our creative outputs and mentor our design team.
Key Responsibilities- Digital Content Creation: Design and manage digital assets for our website and social media channels, including EDMs, social media content, web banners, and more.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor an established team of mid-level designers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Print Collateral: Deliver high-quality design for print collateral and our tri-annual print publications, including The Local Project, The Commercial Project, and The Local Marketplace.
- Document Creation: Create and manage documents and presentations for clients and internal use.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the wider design team to deliver outputs on time and to brief.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Designer, ideally with a minimum of 2+ years operating at a senior level.
- Leadership Style: A motivated leadership style with a can-do attitude.
- Technical Skills: Advanced skills across the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Software Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of After Effects, Premiere Pro, Figma, and Woodwing.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio of work across web, print, and social media channels.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in print publications highly regarded, as is knowledge or interest in architecture.
