Home Support Worker

Job Overview

This role is ideal for those who want to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

As a Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal care: assist with showering, grooming, and dressing
  • Social support: provide companionship, attend appointments, and engage in community activities
  • Capacity-building activities: help clients learn new skills and increase independence
  • Domestic assistance: prepare meals, shop for groceries, and maintain a clean home environment
  • Administrative tasks: record attendance and summarize tasks completed using a smartphone app
Requirements
  • Fluency in both English and Italian to communicate effectively with clients
  • Own registered and insured vehicle with a Victorian Driver's Licence
  • Proactive and compassionate approach to supporting clients with unique needs and preferences
  • Commitment to flexible work arrangements to meet client needs
  • Reliability and clear communication are essential for success in this role
Essential Qualifications
  • National Police Check (less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check)
  • Victorian issued Driver's Licence
  • Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or similar discipline
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check advantageous
Remuneration

The estimated annual minimum salary for this role is AU$ 40000. The estimated annual maximum salary for this role is AU$ 80000.
