Geographic Information Systems Specialist">

As a specialist in Geographic Information Systems, you will play a critical role in supporting our data management initiatives. You will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in GIS to capture, process, store, and analyze environmental and climate information and datasets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Capture and process environmental and climate information and datasets.
  • Enhance the efficiency of internal data processing.
  • Maintain the consistency of environmental information across various systems.
  • Conduct research and development of land information systems.
  • Collect, manage, and analyze data following specific standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project staff to identify project data management needs and requirements.
  • Define, organize, implement, and enforce correct workflows and policies for data importing, exporting, collection, management validation, and reporting.
  • Establish standards and processes, and contribute to defining tools that facilitate data collection, management, and reporting.
  • Implement new technology to expand services to internal project teams and clients.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Geospatial/Environmental Engineering/Sciences or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with data management and geospatial datasets.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in data management tools and software.
  • Knowledge or experience in any of the following: Power BI, FME, Python scripting.
  • Exposure to database or programming platforms (e.g., Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Basic for Applications, Python, R, or similar).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Passion for innovation and a drive to continuously improve processes and deliverables.
