Job Opportunity: Strategic Project Coordinator

The role of a Strategic Project Coordinator involves managing complex projects with cross-functional teams, overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and/or information technology projects consisting of cross-functional teams involving multiple disciplines and operating areas including contract resources.
  • Manage the scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance of multiple projects and programs.
  • Lead project teams through business case development and execution of project plans as well as project closeout.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and 4-7 years relevant project management or related experience, OR a high school diploma and 6-9 years of relevant project management or related experience.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or achieve CAPM within two years of job entry. PMP certification will fulfill this requirement.
  • Demonstrated success at managing projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A master's degree in engineering or an advanced technical degree or Business Administration.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a Professional Engineer License.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, have strong problem-solving skills, and be able to handle conflicting priorities in a multi-task environment.
