About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director - SEO to lead our digital marketing team in Melbourne. As a champion for our culture, you will help grow and develop our talented team, while building strong relationships with our clients and driving remarkable results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team: Bring all your SEO knowledge to the forefront to help grow our talented team and take them to the next level.
  • Cultivate strong senior relationships: Know when to take the conversation 'up a level' but can drill down into the detail.
  • Strategic thinking: Apply a thinker mindset to unearth strategic opportunities and read between the lines with the strategic insights at your fingertips.
  • Strategic innovation: Overcome challenges by visualizing future-oriented solutions, collaborating across paid, owned, earned, and shared media channels.
  • Workflow Management: A skilled time and resource manager, lead by example in prioritizing what's most important and coaching team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality work across your portfolio of clients.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience within SEO to lead a team and product for our Melbourne office.
  • Proven passion for the product.
  • A strong team leader who coaches their people to utilize their strengths, overcome their weaknesses, and synergizes these qualities across the team for high performance.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and storytelling ability.
  • Valuable contribution to pitches and new business.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels of knowledge and competency.
  • Proficiency across productivity and insights tools, including but not limited to Microsoft 365 Suite, Google Suite, and SEO tools such as Screamingfrog, Deepcrawl, Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, GA4, and Google My Business.
  • Bonus points for Roy Morgan and AQX Fusion (training provided).
  • Strong technical ability and demonstrated understanding of how SEO works and its relationship with other channels.
  • Evidence of awards won or contributed to.
  • Pro-active and entrepreneurial attitude that gets things done.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
