Frontend Architect Role

This position involves crafting a technology strategy that enables the evolution of media, video, audio, and document storage into a unified asset and file repository. The system will be built upon with core features such as commenting, sharing, automation, third-party integrations, and artificial intelligence.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Defining the technical roadmap for the frontend powering home and content management platforms across multiple domains.
  • Proposing innovative approaches and solutions to future-proof product decision platforms and deliver on business outcomes.
  • Designing and implementing the most intricate aspects of the system, showcasing expertise in tackling complex technical challenges effectively.
  • Guiding the implementation of major projects, planning task breakdown and keeping engineers in sync using excellent verbal and written communication skills, including architectural diagrams.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to other engineers, assisting them in their professional development and helping them navigate technical challenges.
  • Having a widespread impact across the organization by facilitating and orchestrating cross-team initiatives that set a higher standard for reliability, velocity, and security.
  • Advocating for best practices that enhance the team's performance and reliability.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience working with core frameworks in our frontend stack - JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, and TypeScript. You should have a strong grounding in computer science and engineering fundamentals, including concurrency, multithreading, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns. Additionally, you should have a passion for great user experiences, storytelling, and collaboration.

It is essential to have cross-browser knowledge, as we often drive changes that may have implications across many different browsers, devices, and modalities. Familiarity with building out experiences on the back of a design system is also necessary. You should have worked to build and ship impactful products or changes, and consider performance in everything you do, especially as it relates to a great product experience.
