Key Role Summary
We are seeking a high-calibre Manufacturing Supervisor to lead and manage manufacturing resources in delivering short-term targets aligned with the overall manufacturing strategy.
The role will require developing and executing plans to meet critical business outcomes, including people development, quality and delivery targets, while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Establishing and developing teams to meet current and future business needs.
- Driving short-term delivery of production targets across People, Quality, Capacity, Customer Service and Cost.
- Ensuring risks to volume, quality or product cost are identified and managed using a clear, consistent process that prioritises actions with other departments.
- Collaborating with peers to ensure consistent application of lean tools and techniques across Manufacturing.
- Supporting the introduction and commercialisation of new technologies and products into manufacturing by collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Developing and leading continuous improvement programs designed to increase capacity and flexibility, and reduce product cost.
- Developing and executing an overall talent plan in collaboration with other departments and key stakeholders.
- Driving team engagement by instituting appropriate 'people' processes and practices.
About You
We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. An engineering degree is preferred, and you should have a strong background in lean manufacturing with excellent communication skills.
You will be required to work at Macquarie University and Lane Cove sites, and be available to work both morning (6am-2pm) and afternoon (2pm-10pm) shifts.
