The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner or Rural Generalist to join our team as a locum medical officer at a 15-bed hospital. This is an outstanding opportunity for healthcare professionals with strong emergency medicine skills looking for rural GP jobs or ED locum positions.

Located approximately 550 km north-west of Adelaide, this picturesque town offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle and access to outdoor activities. The hospital provides essential services to the community, including:

  • General medicine
  • Birthing services
  • Renal dialysis
  • Diagnostic radiology
  • Emergency care
Your Role

You will primarily focus on Emergency Department cover, with 24-hour on-call responsibilities. On days when local doctors are covering the ED, you'll consult in the GP clinic (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays). You can expect a minimum of 4 days per 7-day period dedicated to ED.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Right to Work in Australia
  • Proven experience as a Senior Medical Officer, General Practitioner, or Rural Generalist with significant Emergency Department experience.
  • Ability to manage a mix of ED and GP clinic responsibilities.
