About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Groundwater Field Technician to join our team at Ventia. As a key member of our environmental monitoring team, you will be responsible for performing groundwater monitoring activities, downloading and calibrating monitoring instrumentation, and collecting water quality samples.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct field water quality sample collection from groundwater monitoring bores.
  2. Report creation and tracking, including assisting with reporting updates.
  3. Undertake environmental data collection activities for surface and groundwater using specialist software packages and scientific instruments.
  4. Servicing, calibrating, and maintaining onsite monitoring equipment and associated sensors.
  5. Perform maintenance and new works installations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in the use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
  • Trade experience with an affinity for working outdoors.
  • Qualifications in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or Hydrography (desirable).
  • Environmental monitoring experience in water, air, and soils sampling.
  • Electronics and mechanical aptitude.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A valid driver's license.
