The role of a Reinsurance Specialist involves providing support to an existing team in the placement of Facultative Reinsurance for various clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the team in implementing client production strategies set by senior management.
- Develop relationships with current carriers and identify potential new carriers.
- Support senior brokers to meet revenue goals.
- Provide high-level client service to enable effective client relationship management.
- Manage daily client enquiries and keep clients informed on the status of their facultative reinsurance placements.
- Support colleagues in managing Casualty & Property renewal discussions and placements.
- Place Facultative Reinsurance, including cover confirmation to clients.
- Ensure full compliance with guidelines and E&O policies within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of general insurance/reinsurance across commercial classes.
- Self-disciplined and organised with a motivation to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
