Job Summary

As a leading expert in property law, you will oversee a team of experienced professionals providing strategic and specialist legal advice across a wide range of property-related matters.


About the Role

This position involves:

  • Providing counsel on land tenure arrangements, town planning agreements, and resumptions.
  • Offering strategic advice on securities, leasing, and commercial property matters.
  • Managing Native Title and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage issues.
  • Servicing council assets and property projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of legal services and support senior leaders.
  • Provide specialist legal skills and advice on critical issues.
  • Manage a team of specialists.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for performance and outcomes.

About You
  • Have 7 years post-admission experience in property law.
  • Strong background in property law with experience in planning, leasing, and land tenure arrangements.
  • Ability to deliver strategic legal advice on complex property and development issues.
  • Strong advocacy, advisory, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Capacity to support senior counsel and contribute to governance outcomes.
