About the Role

We are seeking a skilled SUAS (Small Uncrewed Aerial Systems) Performance Enhancement Specialist to join our Operations Team in Canberra.

This dynamic position plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing SUAS performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing high-quality structural and cosmetic repairs on SUAS airframes using composite repair methods.
  • Testing and troubleshooting at SUAS component and system levels, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Participating in post-repair flight testing and validating system performance, including participation in flight test activities.
  • Working on modifications, upgrades, and enhancements to extract the full potential of SUAS and related systems.
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and well-equipped workspace for efficient operations.

The successful candidate will have experience or qualifications in areas such as SUAS systems, components, and troubleshooting processes, as well as ability to interpret technical drawings and follow repair manuals.

Desirable qualifications include a Certificate III in Engineering: Composite Repairs (or equivalent), Electrotechnology (or equivalent), or Remote Pilot License (RePL).
