Conservation Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Natural Areas Officer to join our team in Noosa, Queensland.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out natural area restoration and maintenance, including daily activities of the Bushland Management Team.
  • A key responsibility will be the removal of unwanted weeds within Council bushland reserves using approved methods.
  • In addition, the Natural Areas Officer will be required to create and maintain chemical distribution records.
  • They will also participate in public information dissemination at Council and open days, promoting the work of the team.
  • Pre-start and pre-operation checks will be a crucial part of the role when operating small plant, vehicles or weed control equipment.
  • Maintenance and cleaning of hand tools, plant and equipment used by the Bushland Management gang and volunteers will also be essential.
