Job Title: Senior Financial/Management Accountant

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a qualified and experienced Senior Financial/Management Accountant to take ownership of key financial functions, providing valuable insights and ensuring compliance across the board.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the CFO, driving the month-end close process, and delivering accurate P&L and balance sheet reports. They will also oversee AP/AR and daily cash flow, manage statutory compliance obligations, and mentor a Financial Accountant.

This position requires a Senior Financial/Management Accountant who is a CA/CPA qualified professional with experience in manufacturing, wholesale, or FMCG sectors. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, natural leadership qualities, and a proactive mindset.

  • Reporting directly to the CFO, this hands-on finance role involves full ownership of accounting and reporting functions.
  • You'll be a key business partner, providing financial insights while ensuring compliance and accuracy across all areas of finance.
  • Ownership and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
  • Lead the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process with commercial insights
  • Oversight of AP/AR and daily cash flow
  • Manage all statutory compliance obligations, including BAS, GST, FBT, and corporate tax
  • Mentor and develop a Financial Accountant while collaborating closely with the AR team to strengthen capability
  • Being audit-ready and working closely with external auditors
  • Driving continuous improvements across finance systems and processes
  • Manage month-end close and deliver accurate P&L and balance sheet reports
  • Support business units with financial reporting
  • Assist with reporting for global stakeholders

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Experience in manufacturing, wholesale or FMCG preferred
  • Advanced Excel and strong ERP systems exposure
  • Great communicator with natural leadership qualities and a proactive mindset
