Job Description

The Commonwealth Bank is seeking an experienced Principal Platform Engineer to join its Cybersecurity Engineering team. As a hands-on technical lead, you will drive the implementation of complex technical solutions to improve the security of the bank's platforms and systems.

Your responsibilities will include providing strategic leadership in shaping the technical vision for DevSecOps automation and reliability, leading platform engineering squads to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability, and championing the adoption of DevSecOps practices, automation, and reliability.

You will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching team members, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the DevOps community.

To be successful in this role, you will need expertise working with AWS infrastructure, scripting/programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, and experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes clusters, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of complex technical solutions to improve the security of the bank's platforms and systems.
  • Provide strategic leadership in shaping the technical vision for DevSecOps automation and reliability.
  • Lead platform engineering squads to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability.
