About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Officer to join our team at Inchcape, a leading global automotive company. As a Technical Services Officer, you will play a critical role in delivering technical excellence throughout our Fleet Conversion Business network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical standards to promote excellence in our Fleet Conversion Business network.
  • Identify potential technical issues within the dealer network and collaborate with the Technical Service Officer team to develop strategies and plans to address them.
  • Provide technical support to our vehicle processing centers and assist with the training of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for new vehicles.
  • Offer qualified mechanical and electrical advice to internal and external customers on vehicle specifications.
  • Create layout drawings to demonstrate concepts or vehicle layouts for internal and external customers using CAD software.
  • Generate quotes for customers and prepare bills and materials for labor estimation.
About You
  • You have previous experience in Fleet Conversions in the automotive industry.
  • You hold relevant qualifications or experience in motor vehicle engineering.
  • You have experience with CAD software and programs.
  • You have previous exposure to emergency/mine spec/tool of trade fit-outs in the vehicle aftermarket.
  • You have knowledge of ADR compliance rules.
  • You have experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCad Drawing (desirable).
  • You possess strong presentation skills (desirable).
  • You are a confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve the best result for the business.
  • You have highly developed analytical and negotiation skills in commercial contracts.
  • You can initiate, manage, and maintain internal and external commercial and customer relationships.
  • You have a strong customer focus and relationship-building skills with the ability to solve problems.
  • You can devise innovative solutions to achieve financial returns for both the customer and the business.
  • You are a self-motivated team player with a 'Can Do' attitude.
