Theatre Loader Job Opportunity

Are you looking for a career in the performing arts and enjoy working behind the scenes?

This is a great opportunity to be part of delivering high-quality live performances and cultural events for the local community as a Theatre Loader.

You will work alongside our team to ensure the smooth and safe setup and pack down of performances, assist with installing, setting up and packing down lighting, sound, staging and other production equipment, safely load and unload trucks and transport technical equipment, support production crews with staging, set movements and general backstage duties, follow safety procedures and report any issues promptly and maintain a safe and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, setup and pack down of lighting, sound, staging and other production equipment.
  • Loading and unloading trucks and transporting technical equipment.
  • Supporting production crews with staging, set movements and general backstage duties.
  • FOLLOWING AND REPORTING SAFETY ISSUES.
  • Maintaining a safe and professional working environment.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, able to take direction well, has a strong work ethic and proactive attitude, comfortable working as part of a team and physically capable of safely lifting and moving equipment, willing to learn and follow all safety and venue procedures.
