Theatre Stagehand

Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team as a Theatre Loader at the Manning Entertainment Centre. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the smooth and safe setup and pack down of performances.

The Role: We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about working behind the scenes in live theatre events. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, setup, and pack down of lighting, sound, staging, and other production equipment. You will also support production crews with staging, set movements, and general backstage duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, setup, and pack down of lighting, sound, staging, and other production equipment
• Safely load and unload trucks and transport technical equipment
• Support production crews with staging, set movements, and general backstage duties
• Follow safety procedures and report any issues promptly

About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to be reliable, punctual, and able to take direction well. You should have a strong work ethic and a proactive attitude. A willingness to learn and follow all safety and venue procedures is essential.

Requirements:

• Able to lift and move heavy equipment safely
• Experience in live theatre or events an advantage
• Familiarity with technical production (lighting, audio, staging)
• Current White Card or knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety practices
