At Peppers Salt Resort & Spa, located in Kingscliff just south of the Gold Coast / Northern New South Wales border, we offer a range of first-class dining experiences. Our resort is home to some of Australia's finest beaches and World Heritage listed National Parks.

We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dedicated kitchen brigade in Kingscliff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef to maintain the effective operation of the kitchen.
  • E nsure high-quality presentation of food provided to guests, according to property standards and timeframes of service.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment with emphasis on high food safety standards.
  • Train and mentor Kitchen Team members, including Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs, Cooks, apprentices, and Stewards.
Requirements:
  • Ambition, raw talent, and a passion for food.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate the kitchen brigade using strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes, team environment.
  • Recognised culinary training and employment experience.
  • A commercial cookery certification and preferably, a Safe Food Handling Certificate or Food Safety Supervisor qualification.
Working with Us:

We offer an estimated salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role would be suitable for a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in a beautiful coastal location.
