Accounting Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled accounting specialist to join our team in Darwin.

This is an excellent opportunity for career growth and development, working with a variety of clients and accessing learning & development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have experience within an accounting firm, relevant tertiary qualifications, and be studying or aspiring to CA or CPA qualifications.

Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements and management reports, using software such as Xero and MYOB. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing advice and solutions to clients on a range of accounting matters.

  • Preparing BAS and IAS returns
  • Preparing tax returns, FBT, and financial statements for different entity types
  • Producing and maintaining financial reports, using Xero and MYOB software
  • Preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and KPIs for clients
  • Calculating and reconciling payroll tax and RTWSA lodgements

About the role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers solid training, support, and technical exposure. You will work closely with senior members of the team, assisting with the provision of advice and ad-hoc advisory work.

About you

You will possess strong technical knowledge and ability to generate financial statements and management reports. You will also be able to communicate effectively with your peers and provide high-quality services to clients.
