Academic Specialist

Contribute to the development and delivery of Medical Science programs at CQUniversity.
This role requires teaching expertise in a range of medical science subjects, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology and pharmacology.
Key responsibilities include delivering lectures, tutorials, laboratories and practical sessions, coordinating units, developing curriculum and assessing student learning.
Engage with industry partners to enhance clinical placements and student outcomes while pursuing research and scholarly activity aligned with your expertise.
Responsibilities also include:
- Developing curriculum for medical science programs
- Coordinating units within the Medical Science discipline
- Assessing student learning across various medical science subjects
As a Medical Science professional, you will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences for students, as well as contributing to the growth and development of the program.
Working closely with colleagues to develop and implement new educational initiatives is an essential part of this role.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of medical science principles and practices, as well as experience in academic teaching and learning environments.
A Doctoral degree or equivalent in a relevant field is preferred but not required. Candidates with significant industry experience may be considered for appointment with relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex information to students and stakeholders.
