Our ideal candidate is a highly skilled Civil Engineer with extensive experience in the design, planning, and delivery of complex maritime projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working on large-scale coastal engineering projects, including ports, harbors, and marine structures.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from concept design through to construction phase support. You will be responsible for leading technical teams, managing projects, and developing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of coastal engineering principles, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with other disciplines to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience in the design, evaluation, and reporting on ports, harbors, coastal works, and marine structures;
  • Strong knowledge of coastal modeling software (DELFT-3D, SWAN, MIKE) and Australian design codes and guidelines;
  • A Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or ability to obtain CPEng status within a specified timeframe;
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil Engineering;
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
