Chief Investment Officer

An exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of SMS Professional as a key member of the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Treasury Management: Oversee debt facilities, asset acquisition reporting, and investment committee papers to ensure alignment with the company's long-term goals.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Manage the investment portfolio to maximize returns and drive sustainable growth.
  • Risk and Investment Analysis: Establish policies and procedures for trend analysis, forecasting financial performance, and position.
  • Deal Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities in the property development sector.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure and optimize investment deals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the performance of investments and the overall portfolio.
  • Funding and Equity: Identify and arrange alternative resources of debt and equity for different classes of assets.
  • Group Financial Controller Support: Manage the finance team, annual statutory compliance, payroll, financial audit, and tax compliance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, with a focus on property development being a benefit.
  • Expertise: Proven track record in strategic investment planning, portfolio management, and deal execution.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
