Accounting Leadership Position

This is a key role within the finance team, responsible for managing compliance and financial reporting tasks. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in streamlining month-end close processes and supporting strategic finance initiatives.

The purpose of this position is to reduce the workload of the Finance Manager, improve efficiency, and enhance the finance team's ability to serve as a business partner across departments.

The role will also involve implementing process improvements and automation using NetSuite to drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for the consolidated group
  • Assisting with requests from external auditors
  • Reviewing all aspects of tax and other compliance reporting
  • Business partnering and Process Improvement
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Cash flow management
  • Governance, Risk Management & Internal Controls
Requirements:
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably in a commercial finance environment at a senior level
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with a proactive mindset
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
