Protecting Critical Infrastructure
As a Lead Cyber Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cybersecurity architecture for high-security systems. This includes leading the engineering and operations teams to ensure the integrity, compliance, and resilience of secure systems in accordance with Australian standards and mission-critical needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and enforcing cybersecurity standards aligned with NIST and ISO/IEC 27001
- Supporting ATO processes
- Implementing technical security controls in classified environments
- Developing and deploying security tools
- Conducting risk assessments and vulnerability testing
- Monitoring and analysing security events
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure solutions, developing and maintaining comprehensive risk management plans to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities, and conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify areas for improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong background in cybersecurity, preferably in defence or government sectors. Relevant tertiary qualifications and certifications such as CISSP and ASD recognised credentials are essential. Proficiency in Linux systems, networking security, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is also required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in defence or government sectors, relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge gained through experience, CISSP certification and ASD recognised cybersecurity credentials, strong expertise in Linux systems, networking security, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
