About the Role

As a key professional, you will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance and support to the operations team. This role involves overseeing daily maintenance activities across various regions, ensuring that assets meet operational requirements and design standards.

This is a unique opportunity to work on both small and large-scale projects, combining hands-on fieldwork with strategic desk-based activities. You will thrive in an environment that promotes problem-solving, proactive planning, and making a lasting impact on essential water assets.

The Operations Engineering team provides technical support to operations. As the Technical Advisor, you will provide specialist civil advice and guidance on asset condition, maintenance data, and capital project delivery.

What You Will Do
  • Provide specialist technical advice and guidance on the analysis of faults, failures, and performance of water and wastewater assets.
  • Assist with the planning, design, and delivery of capital projects to ensure assets meet operational requirements and design standards.
  • Facilitate the provision of asset condition and maintenance data for water and wastewater assets.
  • Support state development and represent the region for third-party development works.
  • Foster strong relationships with operations and other key stakeholders.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary or trade certificate qualification in an engineering discipline relevant to water industry operations.
  • Considerable experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater assets.
