Aerospace Paint Technician Role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity for trade-qualified paint technicians to join our advanced manufacturing site.

As an Aerospace Paint Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality finish of aerospace components. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and precision are paramount.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding quality instructions and detailed drawings
  • Complying with surface finish process specifications and work order specifications
  • Operating and monitoring spray booths and oven specifications
  • Preparing and painting final assembled and detailed parts
  • Using hand and pneumatic paint process tools
  • Completing preparation processes for painting of composite products
  • Maintaining housekeeping and compliance requirements
  • Participating in Lean programs by supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Up holding safety and environmental standards
Requirements

To be successful as an Aerospace Paint Technician, you will require:

  • Australian recognised Trade qualification as a Spray Painter
  • Completion of a trade Apprenticeship backed with relevant experience working as a Spray Painter
  • Experience in spray painting onto various substrate materials in a high-quality environment
  • Flexibility to work across day, afternoon and night shift
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions as per specifications
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic use of computer systems
  • Able to exercise independent judgment
  • Capable of working under indirect supervision
  • General knowledge of safety procedures
