About the role

Bestoked Pty Ltd, an established event construction company based in Thomastown, Melbourne are seeking a talented Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality finishing to all our custom builds. Spray booth experience essential also. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a talented team in this dynamic and exciting creative industry and to contribute to the continued growth and success of our business

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming as required
  2. Apply paint, stain, or other finishes to all surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  3. Mix paints to achieve the desired colour and consistency
  4. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting safety and quality standards and maintain a clean and organised work environment
  5. Collaborate with project director, team and clients to ensure the successful completion of each project

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Painter, with a minimum of 2 years' experience. Previous event industry experience would be beneficial
  2. Strong knowledge of paints, stains, and other finishing materials, as well as their application techniques
  3. Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality
  5. Strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst maintaining strong work ethic to work independently
