This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the advancement of image-guided care in a high-performing department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department/service will be your primary responsibility.
  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to service development and advancing the role of IR within a dynamic tertiary healthcare environment.

The specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, managing complex cases and making decisions that require strong clinical knowledge and judgment. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to research relevant to the role and needs of the Department.

Requirements:
  • Registration or eligible for registration with Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) is mandatory.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists with completed fellowship in Interventional Radiology and/or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for by the Health Insurance Act 1973 and the relevant Award/Determination is required.
  • Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position is necessary.
