Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker / Groundskeeper to join our team at St John's College, Woodlawn. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our school grounds and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Operate and maintain equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mowers, and other machinery
  • Assist with grounds maintenance, including lawn mowing, pruning, and weeding
  • Ensure the school's facilities are safe and secure, adhering to Workplace Health and Safety standards
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Current/valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Basic computer skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
