Job Title: Deputy Head of Junior School – Wellbeing and Administration

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Deputy Head of Junior School – Wellbeing and Administration. This is a permanent, full-time position that will commence at the beginning of Term 1.

This role reports directly to the Head of Junior School – Deputy Principal and plays a vital part in the administration of the Junior School and pastoral care of its students. As a key member of our leadership team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students and contribute to the ongoing success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for promoting student wellbeing and a holistic approach to student care;
  • Lead the implementation and development of the Positive Education curriculum and wellbeing initiatives in the Junior School;
  • Maintain day-to-day operational management of a Junior School with a demonstrated solutions-focused and flexible approach to responding to needs as they arise;
  • Foster positive relationships and collaboration among teachers and key stakeholders;
  • Work within a committed and professional team within the Christian ethos of the school;
  • Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Collaborate proactively and collaboratively within a team.
Requirements:

To secure this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Education and registration with NESA;
  • A postgraduate qualification in Wellbeing, Positive Education or a similar field;
  • Excellent leadership and management skills;
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment;
  • A genuine commitment to the principles of Positive Psychology and Positive Education.
