We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Head of Junior School – Teaching and Learning to support the Head of Junior School – Deputy Principal in the development, administration and implementation of academic programs in the Junior School. The successful applicant will be a passionate and inspirational educator who will lead teaching teams in the development of curriculum programs using the NSW curriculum and the IB Primary Years Programme frameworks.
This is a permanent, full time position and will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2025. There is a teaching load associated with this position.
To secure this role the successful applicant will have:
- Comprehensive expertise in K-6 teaching, programming, assessment and evaluation of outcomes. Teaching and leadership experience in an IB PYP school is advantageous;
- A strong understanding of current innovative practices and emerging trends in primary education to ensure the school's curriculum remains progressive and relevant;
- The ability to develop positive relationships and foster collaboration among teachers and key stakeholders in a K-12 environment;
- A commitment to Positive Education and wellbeing and a genuine interest in developing expertise in this area;
- A genuine desire to work in a committed and professional team within the Christian ethos of the school;
- Qualification in Education and registration with NESA;
- Proven leadership skills in curriculum development, innovation and management;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a team.
