Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our Risk Advisory Services team in Canberra. As a trusted advisor to our clients, you will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions and ensuring government agencies achieve their desired outcomes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented consultant to work on a broad range of clients and projects. You will have significant impact on the delivery of risk, controls, internal audit, and assurance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting various internal audit, control assurance, and risk management consulting engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit.
  • Assisting in the planning of client deliverables, including strategic internal audit plans and scope documents.
  • Executing fieldwork and documenting findings, maintaining audit files.
  • Identifying findings and issues, and assisting in the drafting of client reports.
  • Assisting in business development activities.
  • Utilizing risk technologies, including analytics, to provide innovative solutions.
  • Undertaking development of team members.
  • Assisting with management and coordination of the internal audit team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-3 years experience consulting into government with a strong client mindset that prioritizes delivery.
  • A strong understanding of risk and internal audit processes and methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team while self-managing.
  • Knowledge and application of practice development skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and high-quality decision-making skills.
