As a senior professional, you will report to the manager and support the partner in servicing the existing client base and in growing the client base. You will be an integral member of our assurance division, working autonomously to provide high-level support on internal audit, internal controls, risk management, information technology, and data analytics.

We are seeking a senior to join our team. This position involves providing guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team. Your duties will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in internal audit, including strategic and operational audits
  • Reporting audit findings and developing recommendations
  • Assisting with developing and enhancing internal controls and risk initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with and adherence to all relevant legislation and policies
  • Supervising of junior staff on larger engagements
  • Mentoring of junior staff in the audit team
  • Participation in firm internal and external training sessions
  • Travel to and from clients around Australia as and when required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CA/CPA/CIA or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience
  • Demonstrated experience in internal audit, risk, internal controls review, governance, information technology, and data analytics, ideally in professional services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a larger engagement team
  • Ability to control the audit process from planning through to completion
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with process mapping using Microsoft Visio desirable
  • Experience in data analytics in audit and assurance engagements through expertise in Excel, Teammate, DataSnipper, IDEA highly regarded
