Statistical Analysis Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biometrician to join our team and contribute their expertise in statistical analysis.
This role will be pivotal in advancing our ability to measure novel traits by implementing current best practices and proposing targeted research to develop new analytical approaches.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to affiliate with the Adelaide University Biometry Hub.
Key Responsibilities- Lead statistical research and consulting activities
- Develop and implement new statistical methods for deployment across the network
- Provide high-level statistical support to projects, including experimental design and data analysis
- Continue to review opportunities for multi-dimensional analytics, including links to climate and environmental data
- Establish a community of practice across nodes
- Undertake workshops and training to harmonise approaches to biometric analytics
You're a highly skilled leader in biometry and statistical analysis who is keen to join a collaborative network of facilities with cutting-edge infrastructure.
Selection Criteria- Proven skills in biometry/statistics, ideally with high-throughput datasets, including experimental design and longitudinal data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in using R software packages to analyse longitudinal data.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills in working as a member of a research team.
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgement in interpreting and applying procedures to solve complex issues.
- Demonstrated commitment to organisational values and behaviour expectations.
- A publication record that includes statistical methodology papers.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team or program of work.
Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications in Biometry or Statistics or related field and extensive relevant experience.
