Senior Biostatistician Opportunity

We seek a seasoned Senior Biostatistician to lead our clinical studies in Canada and Europe.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in biostatistics, with experience driving medical affairs clinical studies. This key role demands expertise and knowledge in statistical analysis and data interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute high-quality input into the design of clinical studies, including protocol development and setup.
  • Accountable for all statistical deliverables related to the study, including sample size calculation, randomization specifications, and statistical methodology.
  • Effectively utilize external groups, such as CROs or data monitoring committees.
  • Collaborate with programming teams to provide definitions, documentation, and review of derived variables and quality control plans.
  • Perform and/or coordinate the production of statistical analyses, reviewing and examining statistical data distributions/properties.
  • Oversee execution of statistical analyses according to SAP, prepare statistical methods, and provide statistical insight into interpretation and discussion of results sections for CSR and/or publications.
Requirements:
  • PhD/MS in statistics or related discipline with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical experience.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical clinical development, late phase, and/or post-marketing activities.
  • Broad knowledge and good understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques.
  • Able to work in departmental computing environments, perform advanced statistical analyses using SAS and possibly other languages (e.g., R).
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Working experience in clinical development, interaction with external stakeholders.
