The Australian Government's Defence Investments Branch is seeking a skilled professional to support the development of whole-of-government investment policies and deliver programs in support of the Division's strategic priorities.

","

This role will involve drafting high-quality briefs and correspondence for the Minister for Finance, working closely with stakeholders, and monitoring media and industry developments relevant to specific transactions/projects and Government Business Enterprises (GBEs).

","

The successful candidate will have a mix of public policy, commercial, financial, legal, and/or project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Detailed job responsibilities include:

  1. ","
  2. Drafting briefs and correspondence for the Minister for Finance","
  3. Working closely with stakeholders, including the Department of Defence, GBEs, central agencies, and the Commonwealth's advisers","
  4. Monitoring media and industry developments relevant to specific transactions/projects and GBEs","
  5. Preparing submissions for Cabinet consideration relating to GBE projects","
  6. Procuring and managing advisers on specific projects, as required","
  7. Providing the Minister for Finance's Office with up-to-date Question Time Briefs during the Parliamentary Sitting period","
  8. Prepare briefings for Senior Executive Staff for regular meetings with senior staff at GBEs and/or Shareholder Departments.","
