Animal Welfare Program Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a dynamic program of veterinary care, research animal skills training and scientific services at the Monash Animal Research Platform.
Core Objectives- Develop and implement high-quality veterinary care, scientific services and training programs that foster a skilled, motivated and committed workforce.
- Provide expert technical advice to adopt new technologies and data-driven insights, enhancing animal welfare and service quality.
- Strengthen collaboration between the animal services team, researchers and external partners to deliver impactful biomedical research.
- Lead veterinary and scientific services to improve animal welfare and research outcomes through technical excellence and collaboration.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and research standards by overseeing operations.
- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Veterinary Surgeon in Victoria is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of research animal management, animal welfare and regulatory compliance.
