Government Portfolio Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Account Manager to join our team at TPG Telecom. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead the development and retention of existing Government accounts at a state and local government level.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships within the Victorian Government portfolio;
- Reviewing current sales strategies and developing/improving plans for each agency or department within the allocated portfolio;
- Maintaining the value of the existing portfolio through effective customer lifecycle management and re-sign activities that maximise commercial outcomes;
- Achieving key monthly, quarterly, and annual growth/sales objectives by building on effective base management to consistently grow (value and product breadth) the allocated portfolio;
- Maintaining accurate customer contact, pipeline, and other required information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;
- Ensuring government reporting and compliance is up-to-date via an internal stakeholder relationship with the Government contracts manager;
- Attending weekly sales team meetings to review the quality and accuracy of Salesforce pipeline;
- Reviewing week-on-week sales activity and key pipeline movements;
- Agreeing kick-off and approach to any upcoming tenders and opportunities;
- Reviewing status of all active tenders;
- Reviewing short- and long-term customer relationship quality and key relationship development activities;
- Reviewing open customer issues, actively assisting in resolutions and ensuring timely escalation where required;
- Providing ad-hoc support to the Victorian Government Client Partner as and when required;
- Representing TPG at Government-related vertical meetings and trade events whenever requested, continually promoting the company and its services;
