At Drakes Supermarkets, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you'll be responsible for leading and managing a team of staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of staff to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales growth
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
  • Collaborate with the buying team to negotiate prices and select products that meet customer needs
  • Provide coaching and training to staff to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of business plans and strategies to drive growth and profitability

Requirements:

  • Significant fresh food retail experience, with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, customers, and suppliers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service, with a focus on meeting and exceeding customer needs
