Our organisation is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join its Land Systems Division in Melbourne. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to the delivery of complex projects, specifically within the Land Vehicle Systems Branch. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your knowledge of procurement methodologies and contract options to resolve complex supply chain challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, develop solutions, and drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of defence procurement practices, excellent organisational and time management skills, and high proficiency in MS Office. They will also have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing procurement activities, managing suppliers and vendors, overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials, and applying procurement methodologies and contract options to resolve complex supply chain challenges.
