About the Role:


At Roadside Safety Solutions Pty Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer/Line Marking Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our services.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage day-to-day scheduling and planning of activity, including organizing site labour, delivering construction materials, plant, and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for coordinating site activities.
  • Ensure required resources and materials are available to complete orders, determining construction methods, materials, and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods, and procedures.
  • Approve work orders and provide information to administration for invoicing.
  • Follow internal works checklists and standard operating procedures.
  • Promptly respond to customer queries to ensure continuity of business activity.
  • Proactively contact customers to check dates and status of sites to ensure readiness for work.
  • Estimate line marking services and document management for tender applications, studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control.
  • Ensure all quality, health, safety environment, people, and cost targets are met.


Requirements:



  • Tertiary qualification from Civil Construction or Engineering background or relevant experience specialising in roads.
  • Previous work experience is desirable.
  • Holds a Construction Safety Card (White / Red Card).
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
  • Able to build relationships at various levels of the business and stakeholders.
