About the Role

The Paediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist is a key member of the Child and Youth Assessment & Therapeutic Services (CYATS) team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Aboriginal Corporation.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team in Alice Springs, NT. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and developing intervention strategies for Aboriginal children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders and complex conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough neuropsychological assessments to identify cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges in children and young people.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and educators, to provide comprehensive support to children and young people.
  • Provide training and education to staff and community members on neuropsychological assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to neuropsychological assessment and intervention.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology or a related field.
  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Experience working with Aboriginal children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders and complex conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of neuropsychological assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
