Job Opportunity: Air Quality Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Quality Specialist to join our team in Adelaide. As an integral member of our air quality group, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality projects and services to our clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to work on a wide range of projects, including impact assessments, management plans, ambient monitoring, GHG reporting, and more. Our team works on projects across Australia, New Zealand, PNG, and the Pacific Islands, offering diverse challenges and opportunities for growth.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the team in preparing inputs for air quality and greenhouse gas assessment reports.
  • Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to grow our air quality offerings.
  • Preparing proposals, budget estimates, project managing, and inputs for tenders.
  • Assisting, supervising, or conducting laboratory and field works, including ambient air quality monitoring and emission source sampling.
  • Conducting air dispersion modeling and risk assessments.
  • Preparing technical reports related to qualitative and detailed air quality assessments for various projects.
  • Collaborating with Australian and New Zealand staff on a range of air quality and multidiscipline projects.
  • Working within local regulations and with local regulators to deliver the above.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • University qualifications (bachelor's degree or higher) in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Up to 5 years' experience as an Air Quality specialist, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Understanding of the local regulatory environment and best practice air quality assessment methods and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with support from the wider team as required.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
