Developer Tools Engineer

Canonical is seeking an experienced Go software engineer to develop developer tooling and containers.
This role involves crafting tools for software engineers, with a focus on experience design. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux system-level fundamentals and containers.
The successful candidate will work on designing the user experience of new capabilities in the tool, writing high-quality code to create new features, and obsessing with correctness and robustness of their work for diverse use cases.
The role also entails thinking carefully through implementation strategy from the perspective of performance, quality, and security, as well as working with teams both inside and outside of Canonical.

- Professional software development experience using Go, Python, C, or C++
- Knowledge of Linux system-level fundamentals, such as cgroups and namespaces
