About the Opportunity

BHP is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Maintenance Trainee program, a 12-month training program that combines classroom and hands-on learning to become a qualified Maintenance Associate.

As a Maintenance Trainee, you will be paid to study while working on industry-leading equipment and will have the opportunity to learn about BHP systems and processes.

The program is designed for individuals who are keen to start or build their career in a hands-on mining role and are willing to relocate to the Mackay area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete a Certificate II in Engineering – Production Technology
  • Gain hands-on experience in maintaining heavy equipment
  • Develop problem-solving skills and work effectively in a team
  • Rotate through early morning, evening, and weekend shifts
