Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Underwriter to join our dynamic customer-centric underwriting agency. Our team provides outstanding experiences to brokers, and we anticipate their needs by creating innovative products and risk solutions.

The Role of Underwriter

Reports directly to the Property Underwriting Team manager. Applies underwriting strategies within the Hospitality Industry. Adheres to underwriting guidelines and standards as issued by Pen Underwriting and Security Partners.

Provides underwriting expertise in risk assessment, terms, conditions, and pricing for new and existing Property accounts. Builds and develops relationships with Intermediaries in the procurement of new account opportunities and strengthens renewal retentions.

Supports other product underwriters in the development of Intermediary relationships for creating new account opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

FSRA Tier 2 General Insurance (or equivalent). Minimum 2 years Commercial Property Underwriting experience. Excellent time management and organisation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills required.
