About the Division

The University Experience division within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio provides student-facing services, engagement, and enrichment programs, as well as education, prevention, and early intervention work and initiatives.

Role Overview

The Student Life team are part of this division and are responsible for delivering high-quality student development initiatives and community engagement programs that foster social connectedness, skill building, and belonging amongst ANU students to improve their student experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end workflow of the ANU+ Award, including the facilitation of face-to-face workshops with students engaging in the Award, marking students' timesheets and reflections, and applying the Award on student transcripts when completed.
  • Oversee the administration, reporting, and evaluation of the ANU+ Award, providing ongoing supervision and training of student casuals and volunteers throughout the year.
  • Organize and deliver flagship events and activities, such as volunteer fairs and end-of-semester completion ceremonies, while contributing to wider Student Life activities, including Orientation week and Open Day.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have experience in community engagement and strengths-based approaches, with the ability to work with diverse communities and collaborate with a team of dedicated practitioners to build community and connections with students and foster belonging.
