Leadership Opportunity in Fabrication

The role of leading hand provides a chance to take on new challenges and responsibilities. As a seasoned fabricator, you will oversee daily workshop operations, guiding your team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities, providing clear instructions to the team.
  • Work closely with skilled fabricators, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and plans, ensuring projects meet client expectations.
  • Perform quality control checks, maintaining high standards.
  • Monitor consumables and resources.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers.
  • Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in metal fabrication.
  • Strong technical knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and prioritisation skills.
